9910 – A New Facility for a New Generation!

One walk through 9910’s new 8000 sq. ft building and you might think you’re in a hot spot on Whyte Ave. Vibrant paint, artistic décor, black lights, fog machine, stage lighting, great acoustics, laser tag, computer and gaming stations; a few of the features unveiled at The Grand Opening of 9910 at 9910-67 Ave., Sunday, November 20, 2005.

We wanted to create a place that can serve the needs of children, youth and young adults. When you involve youth as key consultants for the design of all the major aspects of the projects, the results are amazing and beyond what we could imagine. It was exciting to see it come together in a creative way and to have great support from our congregation and the community at large.

In 1999 this building, along with two other warehouses on the site were purchased by the church. Two of the warehouses were joined together and renovated into the church facility and opened on August of 2000. Over the past year 9910 has been under construction to serve as a multi-use facility for children, youth and young adults.

It has been our vision to build a place that the next generation can identify with and enjoy. At 9910 you’ll find a new church for a new generation. The message and our core values do not change - what does change is how we connect with our community. It’s about letting them know that they are valued, building self-esteem and helping the next generation discover their purpose in life.

Mark Trip de Roche was one of those youth. Now, Mark is a key volunteer at 9910 and making a difference. Mark’s story: “I was lost for direction in life, with a devastated image of myself. At Church on 99 I found a place and a people that I could relate to. Their input into my life has helped me go forward with confidence.”

9910 offers programs for children, youth and young adults in an environment designed just for them.
